Monday Morning

I had a terrific weekend of cleaning and brainstorming. I’ve actually whipped my current WIP into some semblance of a shape – the plot makes sense, and my hero doesn’t leave the heroine after a very tender moment simply because he didn’t have a condom on hand. (or rather condom on another part of his anatomy). The plot is cohesive – finally.

But, since I want to get winter themed story in by a June 1 deadline I have to put project SOB aside to start on COIK. (I don’t want to jinx myself by giving away titles, but multiple stories can be confusing…SOB and COIK are initials of the titles)

I have a killer title for COIK but I have no story to stick it onto. Luckily I have terrific friends who are generous with time and ideas. I spent the weekend putting pieces and ideas together to make them fit – its not a complete puzzle yet, but I’m liking where this is going. Big thanks to Mom who told me about looted art treasures from the Hermitage Museum (one would think I’d know about this considering I studied art history!), and my neighbor who gave me a perfect reason for my new heroine to go to Russia (or Ukraine – I haven’t decided) even though she (the heroine, not the neighbor) really really doesn’t want to.

Now I have to figure out who the hero is and outline the plot by my self imposed deadline of Next Monday. Wish me luck!

In other news, my friend Beth Kery posted the interview she gave me at our Total Ex Yahoo group for release of Treasure of Devil’s Isle: http://www.bethkery.com/2010/04/04/the-treasure-of-devils-isle/.

Also Pas De Deux received four delightful divas from The Black Raven Reviews/Dark Diva Reviews.

Reviewer Deb has this to say about Pas De Deux:
“If you enjoy a hot, passionate romance with a little suspense then Pas de Deux by Fiona Jayde is the book to read. Give it a try!”
